As a foot and ankle surgeon and devoted high-heel enthusiast, I know that "just don’t wear heels" isn't realistic. The right pair of stylish heels can make you feel confident and powerful. Seeing countless women suffer from uncomfortable designer heels, I embarked on a mission in 2009 to change that. I've researched the science and structure of high heels—exploring their design, understanding the pain they cause, and discovering ways to improve them—all while proudly wearing designer heels
